Mini First Aid offers a range of classes across the UK for all the family; parents, grandparents, carers and for children as young as three years old, training them in basic and life-saving first aid.
Mini first aid trainer for Reading, Wokingham, Woking, Farnborough, Fleet and surrounding areas Alison is a mum to two inquisitive young boys and a bouncy boxer dog. Having Worked as cabin crew for 12 years and being First Aid trained for any situation, Alison wanted to focus more on baby and child first aid after having her own children. This led her to becoming a member of Mini First Aid giving her the opportunity to pass on the importance of knowing what to do in an emergency with your little ones.
Great session, concise and informative. Very flexible as well – I was able to take my 4 month old along with me which was very helpful. It was a relaxed environment and the session moved at a good pace. Thank you.
It was a pleasure meeting Kate and Jacky from Mini First Aid and being taught what to do in case of an emergency. Learning CPR and what to do when a child is choking is invaluable. Obviously, I hope I never had to use the things I learned in today’s class, but horrible things happen and knowing these techniques can really make a huge difference. The class was fun and accessible given the seriousness of the topic. I would highly recommend everyone doing it.
I found this session very helpful, it felt relaxed and was completely relevant to the age of my baby. Would highly recommend the session to parents needing some first aid awareness.
‘Excellent course well delivered. Alison has a wealth of knowledge and communicates it well. I attended in Wokingham with my teenage daughter. Would recommend to others.’
There are a gazillion things I never seem to get around to doing (fixing the broken blind in our bedroom, getting some photos printed of ‘the baby’ who is almost two but still doesn’t exist on our walls, pinning down the coffee date I’ve been promising my neglected friend via WhatsApp for at least 6 months…) BUT this morning I finally got my arse in gear and ticked off something from my ‘Really Must Do’ list by attending a First Aid class designed specifically for parents, grandparents and carers of babies and young children. It took just two hours out of my morning and covered a whole host of stuff including what to do if a child is choking, how to deal with burns/breaks/bleeding and the basics of life-saving CPR for kids.
Went to class run by Alison Gibbs in Farnborough last night as I now have an 8 months old granddaughter. Alison’s presentation was clear, detailed and precise. She answered all questions and was willing to provide any extra information needed. I came away from the class feeling reassured that I would know how to cope in an emergency situation. I also bought the first aid kit and 2 animal gel packs that freeze for head injuries. I would recommend this class to all prospective parents, parents, and grandparent. Thank you, Alison.
The Mini First Aid Class (filmed for ITVBe) was a fantastic class, both Arg and I found it a really good and informative session
"We are so glad we have done a Mini First Aid class. We enjoyed the class, found it really useful and feel so much more prepared in the build up to having our baby.”
I cannot recommend Mini First Aid enough. Kate ran a private class for me and my 11 year old daughter in the comfort of our own home, which was perfect especially as my babies are due any day now. My daughter and I feel much more confident in knowing what to do in a range of emergency situations and I also got some extra twin tips from Kate as a fellow twin Mum! It's such an important life skill that every parent and carer should have so I would urge you to book a Mini First Aid course today.
A really informative class with relaxed environment! Hosted by Alison who was really knowledgeable, professional approach but with a lovely demeanor so you feel at ease asking questions if needs be! Would highly recommend.
Today I attended the first aid course with Alison as the trainer. Alison went step by step covering everything we needed to know from cpr, to choking to burns etc etc. 2 hours out of your day to help you with things you may one day come across (hopefully not) is defo worth £20. Alison also supplies chocolates 🙂 she has also offered to help after the session with any questions or queries we may have. Thankyou x
My 4 month old and I attended Alison’ s class in Farnborough and thought it was brilliant. A great reminder of some basic first aid, as well as all the need-to-know essentials on choking and baby CPR. Alison was really friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. I was so pleased to have found an affordable course that was informal and short enough to be able to bring baby with me.
I enjoyed the class. Alison delivered all the necessary information at a good pace. There was a chance to practice the techniques and go back over anything if we needed to. It was a relaxed and friendly environment and I was able to take my 4 month old baby. I would definitely recommend the class to anyone who has children or looks after children.
Today I attended Alison’s mini first aid course and I really enjoyed it. She covered everything you need to know to keep your little ones and other babies and children safe if anything were to happen! Even though Alison’s only just started out she came across very confident and professional and answered our questions very well, she even said if wanted to ask her anything after the mini course to email her and she will reply with an answer. Very laid back and relaxed with a cuppa tea and chocolates 🙂 thank you Alison! I highly recommend!!
